Build a WhatsApp Flow
Build a form or booking journey that opens inside the chat, then send it from the inbox, a chatbot or a campaign.

- 1
Start from a template
Click New flow and pick a ready-made one (lead capture, appointment booking, feedback, support and more), or choose Blank. Templates are a starting point: every screen and question can be changed.
New flowNot sure where to begin? Use Build with AI and describe the flow in a sentence.

- 2
Add screens and questions
A flow is a few screens. On each screen add headings, text, short answers, dropdowns, single or multiple choice, dates, photos or documents. Drag to reorder. The phone on the right shows exactly what customers will see.
Builder → Add to this screen
- 3
Decide what each button does
Every screen ends with one button. It can go to the next screen, go to a screen based on an answer, or finish the flow and send the answers. Mark the last screen as Final.

Fix anything flagged
Problems are listed under the screen and marked on the question. Fix them before saving, so WhatsApp does not reject the flow. Labels have length limits, for example 20 characters on a short answer.

Save to WhatsApp, then publish
Save to WhatsApp sends your flow to Meta and shows a preview. Publish makes it live. After you publish, editing creates a fresh draft and your live version keeps working until you publish again.

Send it from the inbox
Open a chat, click the + (attach) menu and choose WhatsApp Flow. Pick the flow, write the message and the button text, and send. It works inside the 24-hour window.

Send it from a chatbot or a campaign
In an automation add the Send WhatsApp Flow step. For campaigns, create a template and add a Flow button, then send it like any other template.

Use the answers
Open Actions to save answers into the contact (name, email, company or a custom field) and add tags. Open Answers to read every submission, as a table you can download. To reply or assign someone, make an automation with the Flow Submitted trigger and choose the flow.

Load options from your own system (optional)
A dropdown or list can fetch live options from an API, for example free time slots. Add a data source to the screen, paste a cURL command, press Test, then switch the question to Load from API.
Question → Load from APIThis needs the Flows endpoint key to be set up on the server.

Pro tips
- WhatsApp Flows are included on every plan. Only building with AI uses AI credits, and the price is shown on the button.
- A customer who has not written to you in 24 hours cannot be sent a Flow directly. Use a template with a Flow button instead.
- Use Runs to see who got the flow, who read it and who submitted.
- Copy to channel duplicates a flow to another WhatsApp number.
Common questions
Why can't I publish my flow?
Open the red markers: a question may have no label, a label may be too long, or a screen may have no button. WhatsApp can also reject a flow and tell you why under the screen after Save to WhatsApp.
Can I edit a flow after publishing?
Yes. Editing creates a new draft with the same name. Messages already sent keep working, and customers get the new version once you publish it.
Where do the answers go?
Every submission is stored under Answers, and the mappings in Actions copy them into the contact and add tags. The chat also shows a Submitted line.
Does a Flow work for customers on older WhatsApp?
Flows need a recent version of WhatsApp. Customers on a very old version may be asked to update the app.
